PRESS RELEASE | For immediate release 28 October 2026 A father-made picture game puts the family's voice at the heart of play Sofio: Toddler Learning Games lets grown-ups record names, little facts and playful clues for children to discover on iPhone and iPad. DEN BOSCH, NETHERLANDS - Ricardo Ferreira, an independent developer and father living in Maaspoort, created Sofio for his daughter. The picture-discovery game brings a familiar family voice into illustrated animal and vehicle worlds. A parent, grandparent or caregiver makes short recordings directly in the protected parent area. In EXPLORE, tapping a picture plays the recorded name and little fact. In FIND IT!, a child follows a separately recorded clue and finds the matching picture; a correct answer replays the name and fact. Families can start with one picture and add more recordings later. The interface is in English, while recordings can be made in the family's own language. Sofio is free to download, with Farm Animals and Vehicles included. Additional worlds are optional one-time purchases. There are no ads or subscriptions. Voice recordings are stored on the device rather than uploaded to the developer; device backups may include app data. The website includes real gameplay and a getting-started guide. Fruits and Vegetables are in development for future updates and are not playable yet; release dates have not been announced.
