Your first little adventure

One picture.
Two recordings.

You don’t need to record everything at once. Start with one picture in Farm Animals or Vehicles, both included free.

The names and clues can be in your family’s language. The app’s interface is in English.

Open the grown-up area
Tap Parents on the Home screen and complete the grown-up check. Allow microphone access when asked to make a recording.
Choose a world and a picture
Open Voice Recordings, choose a world, then select the picture you’d like to bring to life.
A name and a little fact
In Record EXPLORE, tap Tap here to record. Say the name and a simple fact. Stop the recording to save it, then use Play saved clip to listen back.
“This is a dog. Dogs can bark.”
A separate picture clue
Go back to the world’s recording list, choose Record FIND IT! and select the same picture. Record a clue your child can match to what they see, then stop to save.
“Can you find the brown and white animal with floppy ears?”
These are example words for your own recordings.
Choose how to play
Open Play Mode and choose EXPLORE or FIND IT!. Use Back to Home, choose your world and play together.
EXPLORE plays your name-and-fact recording when a picture is tapped. FIND IT! uses your recorded clue; a correct answer plays the name and fact again.

When you want to make a change

Recording and play settings live in the protected parent area. You can replace a recording, remove one clip or start afresh.

Replace a recording

Choose the same world, picture and recording type, then make a new recording. Stop to save it and listen back. EXPLORE and FIND IT! are separate recordings.

Delete one recording Video 0:53

Open the picture’s EXPLORE or FIND IT! recording and choose Delete. Check the confirmation, then choose Delete permanently.

This removes only the selected recording and its local recovery copy. Purchases and other settings stay unchanged.

Delete all recordings Video 1:01

Open Settings → Delete all recordings. Check the confirmation, then choose Delete permanently.

This removes both EXPLORE and FIND IT! recordings across every world, including their recovery copies. Purchases and other settings stay unchanged.

Deletion is permanent. Earlier device backups may still include app data. Read the full privacy policy.

Made personal. Kept local.

Record and play
offline.

Recordings stay in Sofio’s app storage on your device. Sofio doesn’t upload them to the developer or a Sofio server.

Voice recording and ordinary play work offline. Apple’s purchases and restoration, and any external support or privacy links you open, use their respective online services. Device backups may include app data.
